Mesh Coords now online (Fashion Prescription)

Friday, 6 March 2015

Over the past couple of weeks i have been making samples of mesh co-ords for the brand Fashion Prescription.
They have now launched online as of Wednesday, Which is really exciting as they have a huge following of over 36k followers on instagram.
Its also really cool to see the pictures being posted all over their website and social media!
Something i have made is available to a huge market and I've already received orders.
The outfits are perfect for summer to just throw over a bikini or for a more out there festival look!
So I'll be busy making these to send off to the company. They've been really great to work with and really easy to keep in contact with about what they want, so I'd definitely advise anyone to contact them and see if they want anything making!

Over the past couple of weeks i've been working on different items to rework for the shop for SS15 and here is a few examples... They're vintage dresses and playsuits atlered into two pieces. they're fairly quick and easy to do and will hopefully be big again this summer to wear to festivals and holidays!

Happy Halloween!

Friday, 31 October 2014

Happy Halloween!
On Wednesday I went out for early Halloween celebrations, we went as clowns as you can probably tell!
I made us some very bright clown co-ords, complete with pom poms!
It's the second time I've made a pair of simple shorts so it was good to make three sets to practise. I just traced off as pattern from a pair i already had.
Probably not the most scary clowns going but oh well...

Bit of making and starting a new placement...

Tuesday, 30 September 2014

Today I started my next placement, I was dead excited to start. This ones at a boutique in Chester called Lily Vintage.
Its got a really cool feel and set up, as its an old converted butchers.
Today i started with altering dresses to make them more appealing to the shoppers and also a trip to the fabric shop to get ideas of what fabric we want to use in making new things. Its dead exciting and another hands on placement which I'm really looking forward too. I'm the first intern they've had so its a chance to be really creative.
There is also a Puggle (mix of a pug and beagle) that runs round the office called Petal which makes me love it even more with how much i adore pugs of course!
The day before i did a bit of making... I finished my friends Co-ord that i made for her birthday prezzie and I'm really happy with the outcome and i hope she likes it!
I also did a mock up of a Winter shrug altered from an old wool blanket my Nan gave my mum, so think I'll be able to put it to more use like this!

Reworked shirts!

Tuesday, 26 August 2014

After reworking a vintage shirt for PD's Hawaiian collection I had an idea of what I could do to work on my sewing skills and maybe get a little bit of extra cash. Combine this with hunting round vintage and charity shops and this is the result I came up with!
You already know my love of coords so I've decided to rework vintage shirts into them and hopefully get some money for each one!
The black and white print one is already reserved sorry!
So get in contact if you'd like on I'm going to source more pretty shirts soon!
Which prints do you like the best?!
