New Arrivals

Thursday, 25 June 2015

Last week there was a photo shoot for new arrivals so Lately I've been making more of the Print two pieces. I made the first sample in the new fabric that is floral and orange and they look really nice in that print and have been selling really well, perfect for festival season or holidays.
They are still in Topshop Liverpool, whereas the brown floral print ones are just on the website. Other new arrivals include one in paisley and an off the shoulder dress.
I've also been working on the pattern for a black bodycon dress that will hopefully be out in a few weeks. it was really good to be more involved in that as I made the sample as well to see what needs to be changed and tweaked and next week I'll be helping grade the pattern for sizing.
I'm also going to be carrying on with research for Autumn winter for what can begin to go onto Topshop  mid summer so its good to be looking ahead ad seeing what colours and fabrics are going to be used!

Past few weeks...

Monday, 8 June 2015

Its been nearly a month since I last posted about what I've been up to in Liverpool.
It's flown by been there for just over 5 weeks, so before I head there today I'm gonna update this just to remind myself as well!
Its been all about festival fashion and summer coords like these two in the lovely bright prints. The pink one is currently in Topshop Liverpool priced at £28 for the top and £23 for matching shorts.
I've mostly been making things to go into Topshop concessions such as the crochet tassel tops and other summer items.
Its a fast paced place to work there's always things to do. At the moment we're having a think about whats gonna be happening for Autumn Winter.... Already!
I always get asked to try things on to test fit and how they look, not always the greatest person being annoyingly small cant really get a decent idea of the right length when doing samples haha.
For my next post i'll try get more photos of what i've been doing!

Mesh Coords now online (Fashion Prescription)

Friday, 6 March 2015

Over the past couple of weeks i have been making samples of mesh co-ords for the brand Fashion Prescription.
They have now launched online as of Wednesday, Which is really exciting as they have a huge following of over 36k followers on instagram.
Its also really cool to see the pictures being posted all over their website and social media!
Something i have made is available to a huge market and I've already received orders.
The outfits are perfect for summer to just throw over a bikini or for a more out there festival look!
So I'll be busy making these to send off to the company. They've been really great to work with and really easy to keep in contact with about what they want, so I'd definitely advise anyone to contact them and see if they want anything making!

Last day as a full time PD intern!

Monday, 22 September 2014

On Thursday sadly it was my last day as a full time Pretty Disturbia intern.
Thursdays are probably the day I enjoy most, with the photo shoot going on its always a busy day.
But this week we had a leaving lunch for myself and another intern Vanessa that left not long ago, with CHEESEBURGER TOASTIES, omg could be one of the best food inventions.... like Everrrr!
It was a fairly sad day as I wont be spending so much time with all the girls anymore!
But they can't get rid of me that easily as I'm gonna stay on one day a week for as long as I can!
I've had the best summer at PD, not being a lazy bum and learning loads of new things and how running a business actually works and that a lot goes into it!

My week in photos:

Sunday, 27 July 2014

This week has been a goooood week!
Been really busy on placement, even though I was still melting in the studio it was a productive week, doing shoots, sample sale and sorting stock which in the boiling hot room was a workout in itself!
But it was good to see that I can actually do something organised... I have the worst organisational skills everrrr
After two days sorting though it all, it looked so tidy I was quite proud as silly as it sounds!
We also had a sample sale which we spent the Thursday getting ready for!

1 / After the sample sale some of my close friends met in Manchester for drinks, there was a really cool live act on in spinning fields... when we eventually found it!
2 /  Drinks on a nice summer eve (In my new Pretty Disturbia crop tee)
3 / Pretty cocktails and Thai food
4 / Little bike ride with Mum along the canal, then stopped for lunch
5 / Big Mac (dad) treating me well to new make up wahooo
6 / Mum wanted to know what a selfie was...
7 / Big Mac and Glynny when we went for drinks, looking fancy don't you think?
8 / Finally one of my course Friends visited  Chester and i surprised her with a birthday cake!

My week in Photos

Friday, 18 July 2014

This is kinda what I've been up to this week...
My mum and dad went to Nice to visit my twin Brother who has a placement out there in a museum, how jammy i have to get the train to Manchester everyday and he's sunning it up in France "practising his language" yeah yeaaaaah! More like eating cake and lying on the beach I say!
1 / So as a treat they bought me some Armani perfume and I'm so glad i was running dangerously low!
2 / Just a summery vintage shirt I wore on my day off last week
3 / Had a leaving party for my friend Gen who's jetted off to Australia so I shared this piccy of when we were 16 and went as a joint fancy dress as Tom and Jerry, how embarrassing?!
4 / Sneaky shot from my week at placement, doing out Steam Punk photo shoot.
5/ Spent the day with my brothers girlfriend job hunting, eating pizza and getting piercings!
6 / Somehow I came home with this, wasn't my plan but on two for one piercings who would say no!?

In work I got asked to do some outfit of the day styling, this is an area of fashion i really enjoy.
Putting together different looks and garments to come up with something different and cool...
So i used Pretty Disturbia brands in the first OOTD,
Then put a vintage outfit together.
Right now I'm loving statement necklaces and this handmade tassel one would be perrrrrfect for a festival!
Then I went with the Vintage powder blue skirt which is a colour that has really been on trend over summer!
I kind of also fell in love with this vintage leather jacket... but sadly i don't even have £40.00 to might name right now!
So hopefully a deserving customer will get it that I will envy!
I have included all the links to the items so go ahead and take a look!
