Outfit of the week: Monochrome

Monday, 20 October 2014

Yes on it with another one of these posts! Mainly because Everyone loves a bit of monochrome right now, so this had to be the outfit I had to show you.
Missguided are spot on as per so that's where my crop top and shorts are from and they have loads of great
black and white styles to choose from which obviously I could cram my wardrobe with!
I was going to add some pics of my fave ones but this post is kind of rushed before work and as I don't have a mac I can do a nifty screenshot so I apologise but I'll post my favourites sooooon!
And this H&M over sized blazer was FREE. Yep it was, from the Pretty Disturbia clothes swap, and as much as everyone loves monochrome more people love a freebie! So I'd advise anyone to organise a clothes swap even if its just with friends!

Last day as a full time PD intern!

Monday, 22 September 2014

On Thursday sadly it was my last day as a full time Pretty Disturbia intern.
Thursdays are probably the day I enjoy most, with the photo shoot going on its always a busy day.
But this week we had a leaving lunch for myself and another intern Vanessa that left not long ago, with CHEESEBURGER TOASTIES, omg could be one of the best food inventions.... like Everrrr!
It was a fairly sad day as I wont be spending so much time with all the girls anymore!
But they can't get rid of me that easily as I'm gonna stay on one day a week for as long as I can!
I've had the best summer at PD, not being a lazy bum and learning loads of new things and how running a business actually works and that a lot goes into it!

Street style, lovely people with lovely clothes!

Monday, 15 September 2014

This street styling sesh was probably one me favourites, a) it was a nice day and  b) we met some of the nicest people out and about. Oh and of course stylish!
I think I'm jealous of all the girls style here and if you're a girl you'll probs agree don't they look fab?!
Also just a little shout out to Dan in the first picture who we stopped on his way to work.
He does a really cool fashion blog too, that you should check out! He also took down my blog and took the time to check it out and follow me so I'm ovo gonna repay the favour.
After he tweeted me that day he wants to do something bloggerish together and collaborate somehow so that'd be cool!

Another Street Style sesh for PD

Thursday, 28 August 2014

Well the girls definitely get the award for style when we went on the lookout round Manchester on a fine sunny day not so long ago! Don't know where all the stylish men were hiding but we couldn't find any!
So the gals have done us proud once again and in a way its sad looking at these photos we took because it was so nice and sunny and now.... well standard British weather is back. And street style is not so fun in the rain.
So head over to manchesteralternativestreetstyle to find more fab fashion from Pretty disturbia and maybe a few more stylish men than we found!

Hawaiian Feeling!

Wednesday, 13 August 2014

Tomorrow is the day of our Hawaiian inspired collection photo shoot which I'm dead excited for!
I feel I've had more input into the collection as I've nearly been ad PD for 7 weeks now, CRAZY.
I've been super busy over the past week sorting bits and bobs out and printing boards and feel like I've missed keeping track of what I've done, So here's just a hint of whats in store for tomorrows shoot.
It's a vintage Hawaiian shirt that I reworked in the studio today and it turned out pretty cool, hope you agree?!
Might have to raid the charity shops for some old shirts and make a few!
The collections a mix of Pretty disturbia hand made, customised and vintage pieces, and obviously I'm going to take so pictures as the shoots going on. As it's one of my fave parts of working here. Finally seeing what you've made being shot and modelled!

Test Shoot

Friday, 25 July 2014

On Monday at PD HQ we had a test shoot to see how we could improve photography and styling.
This is a part I really love, putting outfits together I think its just because I love clothes in general!
This is a great way to see what goes and to get the best photos possible.
We had a model from the casting session that we had a few weeks back come in, so it was a fun hour or so!
I was doing my usual behind scenes antics taking a few pictures here and there.... Then obviously had to get one behind the lens infront of the lights, How professional!
My talents are wasted in design don't you think? How about next top model yeaaaaah?!

In work I got asked to do some outfit of the day styling, this is an area of fashion i really enjoy.
Putting together different looks and garments to come up with something different and cool...
So i used Pretty Disturbia brands in the first OOTD,
Then put a vintage outfit together.
Right now I'm loving statement necklaces and this handmade tassel one would be perrrrrfect for a festival!
Then I went with the Vintage powder blue skirt which is a colour that has really been on trend over summer!
I kind of also fell in love with this vintage leather jacket... but sadly i don't even have £40.00 to might name right now!
So hopefully a deserving customer will get it that I will envy!
I have included all the links to the items so go ahead and take a look!

Pretty Disturbia Asos Marketplace

Tuesday, 8 July 2014

Hair pieces and much more available on Pretty Disturbia Asos Marketplace!
So during my first week interning I made some quirky accessories and this is just a peek at a couple of the hair pieces i made during my first few days.
They're available on asos market place through Pretty Disturbia's online store with different colour ribbon and card designs!
It's quite exciting to see them there as this is a part of my placement I find really cool, that the things I'm actually making someone somewhere will hopefully own!

First week as a PD Dollie!

Saturday, 5 July 2014

prettydisturbia

On Tuesday just gone I started my internship at Pretty Disturbia Manchester. Its a brand that prides itself on being alternative and had a love of vintage, I was excited but really nervous to start I didn't really know what I was getting into but after the first few days I'm really loving it already!
Everyone there has been so welcoming and it's been so hands on already, and they've made me feel part of the team right from the second I got there!
I just don't enjoy getting up at 6.30am, its like seeing a whole different time of day compared to having Uni life, and I'm sure I'll get used to skipping my regular afternoon nap...
Even though I'm 20 and should probably grow out of that by now!
Can't wait to see what's in store for me in the next few months as a PD Dollie!
